First MTC Email!

I'm writing while I wait for the laundry to get done. It is weird waking up so early (6am) and still having enough energy to last the whole day! The spirit here is excellent. All of the elders in my district are awesome! And our sisters too of course!
Now that I'm here writing I don't know what to say... It's easier for me to write real letters. weird. I have been writing in my journal every day, and I'll continue to do that for the rest of my mission so you can read them if you really want to know what's going on day to day. Remember to send my credit card here whenever it comes, and I need some of dad's awesome socks for running... All of the older German elders are leaving on Tuesday, and after that WE are the oldest Deutschers! strange... All of the older elders have been here for 9 weeks instead of the 6 that we're doing in the pilot program and they can't wait to get out of here and to Germany!
My companion is Elder Luening, and he's from Trail BC Canada. Just north of the Washington border. He's a great worker and always invites the spirit. He has been called to be the District leader so on Sundays he's in meetings all day so I go with other missionaries on "splits"... it's pretty exciting.
Make sure Riley feels okay about not saying goodbye like he wanted to, it's fine. I love him anyways :) The moment that I saw the MTC all of my fear and nervousness went away! it was so great. All of the little things that you want to know are in my journal!
I have so much laundry... why do I have so much laundry... The food here is okay most days. I usually end up getting a salad or some kind of chicken wrap thing... my poop schedule has been way off because I'm waking up early and I'm actually eating 3 square meals per day.
I don't have any addresses except for you in West Jordan and Teej/Gramma in Rexburg.
My laundry needs to be switched into the dryers 10 minutes ago now...

Ich Weiss dass, die Kirche Jesu Christi wahr ist!
I love you!
Elder Thorkelson
