Day 182, BOO!

Happy Halloween y'all!
We got asked if we celebrate Halloween today.. that's a common error
around here because everyone thinks we are Jehovah witness..

I'm currently super hot in a tiny room because for some reason we are
in a tiny room today... I don't know why. It's pretty pointless, but
whatever compa. Well I have yet to do something exciting on a P Day
but I am really hoping that one of the members takes us fishing soon.
I wanna catch a big ole catfish. Haha. That'd be different.

This week was good. We did the good ole work of the Lord. A less
active member fixed us some Asian antelope (I forgot what it's called)
and those tacos weren't half bad.

A general authority came and visited us for zone conference! That was
pretty neat. I finally got to go into Austin. It's a cool place. And
we got to meet the zone. Our new district leader is sweet and I am
pumped for exchanges soon. Elder De Hoyos of the Seventy spoke to us.
He was a jolly old guy with a huge smile on his face the whole time. I
was pretty disappointed that he spoke in English, but that's alright.
He talked about how we have to believe our purpose for people to
really feel our message and also how we really need to focus on
getting our investigators to start reading the Book of Mormon because
that's key.

But yeah, that was good and we had a solid week of lessons. Another
sweet lesson with Daniel who said he was gonna quit McDonald's to go
to church! What a guy.

We also went to this Indian festival thing.
We were doing a family
history booth there which ended up being okay. But basically this
thing was a party for old people. Haha it was so boring and there was
terrible karaoke in the background the whole time. Lol. There were a
couple people that were pretty interested so that was good. I honestly
didn't know what I was doing the whole time, because I haven't messed
with family search that much... but yeah, good times. We met a guy
from Missouri who was bragging about his ancestors who killed
Mormons... it is fine.

Later that night we had the branch Halloween party which was sweeeeet
because there were like 47 people there and we barely have that many
people go to church! There were a couple less active families and
stuff and overall it was just a good night. The missionaries were in
charge of judging the costumes so we had to come of with like, 20
different descriptions like "the spookiest skeleton award." It was
probably the hardest thing I have done on my mission.

Hah yeah, anyway that about wraps up my week. Yorktown is sweet and I
love the people here. I hope you all do what you can to cheer up those
around you and have a fantastic week!
