G'morning.
It’s a quiet day at the post office. haha. Definitely no nice crisp fall air coming in though. It’s HOT. It rained the past two days so I am sure that I will be humid as ever too...which is going to be crazy. I just took my two lighter pants to the dry cleaners...and only have winter pants to wear till Saturday. Oh my.... I might die. haha.
The first week with my new comp was great! He is really cool and we get along great. We’re both 22 (Korean age) which is a big deal in Korea. It means you can be friends. haha. There’s a huge, like... ranking??...I can't think of the wor, but you can only be friends if the same age. You’ll see it with kids on the street. I always ask, oh is he your friend? and one will be like "NO! He’s my little brother!!" haha. If your older you are their senior and call them little brother, and the kid younger has to call you older brother. haha. Age and rank is a big deal in Korea.
He, my comp, is really good at English actually! He helps out when we teach. English class is going to be hard though, we usually split up and teach separate classes, but he can't teach on his own. He is from Seoul, the big city. They get called to serve the same as everyone else. haha. Their country is just a lot smaller than ours.
Our investigators are sweet. I have a baptismal date for the 23rd with Autumn, and Moon Sue Jean is planning on September. We got a great referral from a member the other day too who I think can get baptized really quickly. The work is moving forward! The standard of truth has been erected! No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing..... Tell Brother...uh-oh.... Bear's dad.... C....what's his name!?!?! bleh. Tell him that I still have the standard of truth memorized since he taught me when I was a freshman. I quoted it as a part of my training yesterday at district meeting. CHELSON! Yeah!!!... I knew I could remember it. haha.
Well love you. Stay cool. Enjoy the dry weather for me. haha Insook told me that she never could understand what the missionaries were all complaining about with the humidity... until she stepped off the plane when she came back to Korea. She hates it too now. haha. I’m glad she could relate. She brought back brownie mix and Kool-Aid. haha. Well I am hungry as usual. I need to go buy some ice cream to cool off. pot-bean-soo! It’s delicious. I can't explain it...so I’ll take you out for some when you come.
Much love
