We are going into week 6 here! it's so crazy! I understand more and more every day. Weekly progress is very visable. Elder Lersch, my trainer, will be dying, and going back to Frankfurt in just one week! which means that I will be recieving a new trainer! crazy stuff. Chances are 99.9% that I will be staying here in Heide for the next transfer. Another white-wash/double transfer would be super tough for the area. We are having a lot of success with finding new people that are searching for the gospel! ZUM BEISPIEL(for example!)-- just right now a guy that we talked to earlier just came in to the internet place and talked to us! We tried to find his apartment earlier but the address was a little wierd and we couldn't find it. We set up a meeting at the church on Friday, 11:00. Excellent :) ahh I love it! This past Sunday, a newer investigator Elizabeth and her niece Cynthia were at church. So awesome. It feels so good having investigators at church! the wards are a lot smaller so visitors are always welcomed by almost the entire ward.
This past week has been absolutely beautiful! so much sun! I am getting some color, and when I take off my watch, it feels like in baseball season taking off my baseball mitt and seeing the super white skin underneath :) The warm weather is a blessing and a curse... I only have 2 short sleeve shirts... hahaha for some reason I thought that when I heard that Germany has about the same climate as Idaho or Utah, I only saw that as being freezing cold. goodness. So I wear my short sleeves most of the week and then a long sleeve shirt here and there. It is kinda lame but it gets the job done.
Okay... so we have been doing our Spring cleaning for the year and we had to defrost our fridge. We turned it off, let the ice drain out with towels all over. Then, we turned it back on, the light turned on, started whirring--everthing looked and sounded normal. The next morning, we got up and worked out, then went to get milk for cereal... warm. everything warm. the fridge is kaputt. This weekend was a holiday and no one answered phones. so far it is day 5 without a fridge. Toast every morning is getting so boring. We called someone today, and they will call us back later to schedule a time to come by and fix it... goodness. It makes me so grateful for those conveniences of life!
I love recieving letters from people! :D Just this past week I got a letter that was sent to the mtc last month! haha. excellent. If people write, I will reply-cross my heart and hope to die.
I love this whole 'being on a mission to bring others closer to Christ' thing. Best thing ever. Sometimes I need a little push to get started, but I really do love it.

Much Love,
Elder Braden Thorkelson
