Hey y'all!
This week was awesome! got a lot of stuff done and had an excellent
time doing it! A lot of driving, a lot of finding, a lot of teaching.
crazy stuff.
To answer those questions:
Elizabeth's baptism isn't for a couple more weeks.
We meet the new Mission President on Thursday in Hamburg.
Yes, I lost my wallet. (but for some reason I'm not freaking out?)
You aren't suprised because you know me.
The referrals that we have been recieving have been:
1 referral from sister missionaries in Erfort.
1 referral from Church Headquarters.
1 referral from missionaries in Neumünster.
1 referral from missionaries in Rendsburg.
super cool, right??
The hardest part is finding the people to teach,
and it's so awesome when other people do that part for us :P It's so
hard to keep up the energy level when we are always on our way to do
stuff, but we do it pretty well!
This week we Tausched with the Elders in Kiel, I was in Heide with
Elder Lloyd. He's an awesome missionary from SLC. His grandparents
live in Rexburg! and chances are, they probably know gramma and
grandpa. super cool.
Things this week were pretty mellow though. Nothing big and exciting
like last week. There were a couple of cool things that happened
though. While in Flensburg helping the missionaries there with a
street display, we ran into a couple of cool girls from California and
Scotland! We helped them carry boxes to the post office and made an
awesome missionary influence on them. Then on the train back from
Flensburg, we heard people speaking english around us... I got their
attention and asked them where they're from, and they were from
Australia! super cool. and we gave them a 'mormon.org' card as we
left. Planting seeds left and right. It's crazy stuff.
The language really isn't too bad anymore. I was able to explain the
whole wallet situation to the train people... in German. hahaha. so
crazy. Of course my vocabulary still needs to grow about 500%, but
it's not too bad. I can't really compare myself to people that have
been here as long as I have because... I don't come in contact with
new missionaries except for at zone conference... and we don't speak
german too often when we get together as zones... haha. But I think
it's going well for me?
Anyway, I'm going to go keep spreading the word of God...
Love,
Elder Braden Thorkelson
Sorry... he didn't send his mom any info on the pictures, but at least I finally got some pictures. :)
