Heyyy! I'm no longer a teenager...... what?! that's weird.
Yup I am still staying in Heide (starting Transfer #3 here). I am also
with the same companion as well. Elder Bossart. I really don't know if
that's good or not. This is a smaller area and I know every member,
and have talked with (what feels like) a majority of people in the
city.
Elizabeth has been on urlaub (vacation) for the last two weeks... She
is still in Hamburg and we will have to move the baptismal date. And I
really have no idea what people do for vacation... all I know is that
they leave... and we can't teach them... so vacations are dumb.
I will be receiving the package on Wednesday! I talked to zone leaders
and they had a conference in Berlin so it worked out perfectly!
well... it's still a few days late... but it is working out really
well :)
For missionary work, we are finding some super awesome people. We met
a super cool 16 year old, named Hamit, from Afghanistan (who we
originally thought was like 20). He speaks really good English and
wants to go to Oxford when he is finished with schooling here in
Germany. He has SO MUCH AMBITION! He asked us about our dreams and
aspirations, and he makes me want to be the best I can be! I love it!
We find awesome people like him just by going door to door in the
outskirts of town. There can be people that are prepared for the
gospel ANYWHERE! We just have to find them.
The reunion sounds like it was a blast! I love Mammoth! And the
squirrels and mice are just part of the personality. And I'm a little
jealous of your awesome water games... haha. sounds like so much fun!
Haha silly Madision Jr High... They should have called sooner! well I
guess you're just meant to stay in Utah. but yes, make sure to give me
your address... and Teej's... and Trevor Greene's... and Jason
Lucas's... and Nathanial Stumpf's.... and pretty much everyone in the
world.
I'll keep finding our brothers and sisters so we can teach them the gospel!
I love you so much!
Elder Braden Thorkelson
