On Tuesday Elder Frame (my district leader) called and said that we (Elder Frame and I) would be singing together at ZoKo (Zonen Konferenz) on Thursday! and that we would be doing a Tausch (exchange) from Wednesday to Thursday so we could practice. We decided to sing ' O, mein Vater' (O, My Father). Wednesday morning before we tausched (exchanged), Elder Bossart and I went up to Husum and I spoiled myself... I got a Guitalele! Guitar+Ukulele=Guitalele. It's like a guitar with a constant capo on the 5th fret. Tell Shawn, he'll look it up and be jealous. It's small and compact so I can bring it with me from place to place! ahhhhhhhh I love it. And I didn't forget about Shawn's birthday coming up... I need to send something... soon. can he eat awesome German chocolate with his chipmunk cheeks?....no?... ohhh sad... :P
On Thursday, we had a super awesome ZoKo with Neumünster and Hamburg zones. There were two missionaries from my MTC group that were transferred into Hamburg zone! It was so good to see Sister Bohne and Elder Adams. I worked with Sister Bohne's sister Ashley at Applebee's in West Jordan! haha. super small world, right? Elder Frame and I sang in front of every one and it went super smooth :) Präsident Kosak loves music and the Theme was on the concept of Crescendo, growing more intense with sound (or in missionary work!) We had about 2 individual musical numbers and we sang like 5 hymns as a group. Ahhhh I love it.
Missionary work also happened this week. Hahaha. It sounds like I've just been playing the whole time, but we have been working also! We just continue to find new people that have met with missionaries before, adn then somehow lost contact. It's so important to maintain an organized area book, or people can become lost forever! so sad. Orrr it can just take 10 years before other missionaries come around. goodness. We have 3 people like that who we will be meeting with this week and a bunch of other people who have never heard of us before and are interested in the message!
Hahaha I love the idea of the 'what if...' game! I will be playing it very soon... :) Transfers actually ARE coming very soon! the 25th of August (this Saturday) we have Versetsungs Anruf (Transfer Call). I have already been here for 3 transfers and spent 2 of them with Elder Bossart... And I'm needing some change :) haha. Whether it's a new area, or a new companion (or simply just new people in our district), Something needs to change.
I knew Elder Potter would be heading home soon! haha. crazy. I was writing him letters and didn't reply to the last one because I figured he would be home soon... yup! And I've already been away from home for 5 months?!? what the what?! haha. almost at the 1/4th mark... dumb. Time is flying super super fast.
Pshhhh! I'm jealous of your binder... I can't print off emails... I'm just at a public internet Laden... shop. That's why I prefer real letters :P because I can read them whenever I want, not just on Mondays.
Cedar Point Peak Ward, eh? sounds cool! Who is this awesome R.S.
President?? because I already love her. haha. Who are her relatives and
where are they? I would love to find them! and whaaaa?!?! there's a
German branch there?? Dah! Ich freue mich schon darüber! :D super cool.
Did you know that the letters 'y' and 'z' are switched in German Keyboards? I'm used to it now... wierd. the hardest word to spell is 'crazy'... because the 'y' and 'z' are right next to each other... just a silly fact.
Ich liebe euch!
