Is there news??
.....YES!! I will be transferred to.... Spandau! It's a city district of Berlin! so, I'll be heading over to the big city! I'm super excited. I will be there with Elder Stoe--I know nothing about him, except that he will be dying (going home) at the end of next transfer... which means that I will most likely have to take over! crazy, right? It will be so weird going from little ol' Heide and going to Berlin, but I think I am ready for it. It will be a stretching and growing experience. I started to pack earlier... and I have so much stuff! I can fit it all in, but it's super heavy.

This week was really fun! We actually had 2 Tausches (exchanges). One with the Rendsburg Elders ( I was with Elder Lindermann in Rendsburg) from Tuesday to Wednesday, and one with the Zone Leaders (I was with Elder Spendlove in Heide) from Friday to Saturday. It is always so much fun to meet new people and to learn from their experience! When I was here in Heide with Elder Spendlove, we made awesome Nutella cookies! It took a peanut butter cookie recipe and adapted it to be a billion times better because of Nutella :)

Today I have pretty much just been saying 'Tschüss' (bye) to everyone. Kinda weird. Some of the people got pretty angry... They love me too much! haha. We had a super awesome member lesson yesterday with the Familie Drab! They are raising the best family in the world right now! I also bought some stuff for little Shawner's b-day. Hopefully he'll enjoy what I got for him :)... make sure it doesn't sit out in the sun for too long... haha.
I haven't heard back from dad because... I haven't really been writing to him. I have just been hoping that he reads what I send to you... :P I want to see how his awesome long hair is coming along. Riley is silly when he gets angry at me for not replying... and then he doesn't reply :P Shawn's face made me (and my companion) crack up! haha. It was such a bummer to get mine out... but at least Shawn is getting done with it early! it's so good to get out of the way.

Did I tell you that Germans use baby wipes?? they're totally normal here. But easy mac and cheese really doesn't exist! or beef jerky. Elder Bossart was always super happy to get his jerky from his mom :P
Because I will be in Berlin, you could send stuff to the Mission Home and I would get it!! haha. how awesome is that??
So if you send a package, just send it to:

Kirche Jesu Christi H.L.T.
Elder Braden Thorkelson
Zerbster Str. 42
12209 Berlin
Germany

I am so excited to get started in a new city! new companion, new people, new ward... ah I'm so stoked!
I'm continuing to love being a missionary here in Germany! it's the best!!
Love,
Elder Braden Thorkelson
