Sept. 17, 2012

It's getting pretty chilly here too! almost to the point where we have to do missionary work here in full suits, not just slacks and white shirts. The leaves are starting to change colors, but sadly there aren't any mountains to see the full array colors! bummer. But that's okay, life will continue to go on.

So last p-day that we had was so awesome! we went into the heart of Berlin! we saw the Brandenburger Tor, a memorial for WWII/the holocaust, and a ton of other monuments. There are so many awesome things here to see! We had an excellent time.

Yesterday we had Pfahlkonferenz! Stake conference. It was so cool to see so many members come together!

We tested out a sweet recipe for some chocolate mousse that turned out AWESOME. We are having a cake baking competition at the Ernte Dankefest with one of the young men! haha. We are totally going to dominate. Do you have any recipes that we should try out?? and keep in mind that Germans don't like things to be too sweet! haha.

Happy Birthday Shawn!!! :D  It sounds like he had an awesome birthday party! You all have been traveling around a lot! haha. goodness. well, wish grandpa eine gute Besserung for me! haha. (equivilent of 'get better!') Crazy stuff continuing to happen! Congratulations to Jamon for me! haha. so much stuff! Is there a way I could get updates for Tristan?

Being in Berlin is the best! we have found so many cool people here in the last few days! For example, yesterday we met a cool guy from Texas! his name is Andre and he has been here for the last 10 years playing American football.

I am loving my time here, Berlin is the bomb!

Love,
Elder Braden Thorkelson
