Sept. 23, 2012

Routine routine routine! haha. what is happening for you is also happening for me! The weeks are just flying by and there are only 2 more weeks in the transfer! crazy stuff. I ended up getting a new shoulder-bag because the one I had before was just way too small. It has a 2 year guarantee on it! haha. perfect, right? haha. and now I can carry my own Book of Mormon, my Bible, my notebook, and a BoM to give away all in my bag! I'm way too excited about it... but yeah.

I hope you are ready to have a billion photos sent your way! haha. I don't know if I will get the SD card sent off this week or next week... I will be able to pick up the new SD card either today or next monday from the Mission Office.

This last week we met with a younger Neubekehrt (new convert) named Vanessa who had been feeling sick, we wanted to stop by, have a short lesson, and see if we could help out in any way. Well her older cousin Jiko showed up and he started asking us questions about who we are and what we believe-- and now he has a Book of Mormon and he wants to meet with us! We invited him to Ernte Dankfest (Harvest Thank-Festival ... Thanksgiving) and he said he would come! super cool.

My wallet?.... yeahhhhh it's gone. so dumb. The money is all still here... whatever. haha. Can you order a new card for me for christmas? :P I have started using dad's "sketch-caddie" for my wallet! haha and I will never lose it! it's super secure and awesome. It may replace my wallet forever... haha. and other missionaries can't order sketch caddies online... that's why I wanted y'all to send some... but it's allllll good.

Haha. Your students are saying that you're not as fun?? Sounds like you have everything right under control! that's awesome. It is so strange how one year of kids can develop into a 'good class' or a 'bad class'. I think I was always a part of the 'good class' :)

I wish I could have more traditional German meals! Too many members here try to make us 'feel like home'... meaning American food... I've had a few reallllllly good meals though! I love it! Schnitzel is way good. and Döner is something that only exists in Germany! haha. because in America we have health codes that stop having meat in open air.... so good! Döner is probably my favorite.
I love my family!! you are the best.

Love,
Elder Braden Thorkelson
