Our week was pretty good. We went to Hamburg and
had a really good mission conference. There was a lot of talk about
Family History and how we can implement family history into our
missionary work. It was really cool and there were some cool things that
I saw that would be really cool to use. Unfortunately, we don't have
too much of a family history center here in Minden to use. It is
normally only opened when someone specifically calls to make an
appointment with the family history person. Well, and also that the
church only has one computer with internet... and it's on the opposite
side of the church from the history center... haha. We will be bringing
that to the attention of the ward. At the Zone Konferenz I finally got a
christmas package from Grandpa Thork! haha. It was a bit late, but it
finally got here. I'll make sure to send him a thank-you email.
One of our zone leaders was put into the hospital because
of some strange nerve problems he was having in his legs. So on Monday
we were in Hannover to have our p-day there but things kinda turned into
the job of bringing the other zone leader around to do his p-day
things... and because of that, we went back to Hannover on Friday before
a district leader trainging to have some of a leftover p-day. We got
some super awesome deals on super quality clothing. Woohoo Germany! :D
They were trying to get rid of all of the 2013 stuff to replace with the
2014 things. Out with the old and in with the new :)
The weather has turned back to sunny (but still cold)
weather. It is really nice to finally see the sun again. Especially
because our apartment is super dark... haha. That's something that we
need to get fixed pretty soon actually. I'll get on that.
Other than that, we are working on keeping things going for the
next couple of weeks before things get moving back towards America....
haha. I was trying to think about things that I should do when I get
back, and those doctor appointments were the first things on the list. I
can't believe that it ha s been 2 years since I've been to a doctor or
dentist or optomitrist. crazy.
