Hola hola!
Wow this week went by fast too! What the heck. Transfer is half over. Weird..
But anyway, I dug a grave this week! It was super fun! I dunno what it
is, but I like digging holes. It makes me feel accomplished... It's
kinda dark though... Like, digging a rectangular hole just has a
negative feel to it... Lol. Oh yeah, well and it was just for a dog.
One of the families we regularly serve had a dog die, so that's sad 😢
I shoulda taken a picture of the hole. It was professional.
Luckily, that's not the only exciting thing that happened this week.
We had a great lesson with Roy. We were talking about stuff and
prophets and he's all talking, when I thought, hey let's bring up
baptism. Now, Roy cannot be baptized for anything 6 months because of
his situation, but he is super ready to be baptized. So I did that,
and it led to great stuff! We are gonna set a goal date 6 months in
the future to keep him focused! That's exciting.🙌🏼 he told us that
out of all the missionaries that he's met with, we are the best, so
that's sweet too.
Then one time we were deciding where we should get dessert and we
settled on some good ole McFlurries from McDonald's, and we saw our
boy Timón there! He's a mystery guy and we can never find him, so that
was sweet. Then he went to mutual that night and showed up to church
yesterday! We haven't even had a lesson with him because he is so
mysterious, but for some reason he keeps coming back sooo....
Yanno.... Oh, also, at McDonald's there were 15 year olds hitting on
us, so that was interesting... I'm 20! Stop that. Lol.
We had been stopping by this lady named Latisha and honestly we were
losing interest in her and about to drop her. But like, her friend is
in a rough situation and she is too somewhat, so I showed them the
Refiner's Fire video and BAM, she opened up. She really just needs
friends, and all the other churches around aren't welcoming to new
people. I told her that church is like a family and she is super
welcome and now she really wants to go to church. Also, her son was
telling her that she needs to talk to us and read the Book of Mormon!
We had no idea about her son! So it was a great lesson!
So those are 3 good things that happened this week.
Other unimportant things include:
- Marty who claims he has seen UFOs
- My compa almost got eaten by a dog
- I thought a naked guy answered the door, but it was just this big
shirtless guy in a wheelchair, so that was a relief.
- 79 year old lady said we were fine looking young men
As we all strive to "do what Jesus would do" we can truly find peace
in our lives. I know it's a common phrase that gets said too often
without meaning, but if we truly think about it and apply the
attributes of Christ, our lives will change. It is sweet to see the
results.
Love you all! CTR
Oh and we forgot to take pictures this week except this one, so whoops. Lol 😢
