Día 294 Lolz

Haha Hey guys,

So in apostate terms, I'm gonna be a Papá.

We got the news last night that I'm gonna be training this next
transfer, and yanno, we figured that since I've been in Yorktown for 6
months that I was getting doubled in somewhere... But nope! Haha my
companion is leaving and I'm staying in Yorktown with a rookie. I'm
pretty excited though because this will really give me the opportunity
to capitalize on the progress that we've made. There's a lot going on
right now, so we will stay busy. I must be doing something for right
for them to keep me here for so long!

Also, I'm switching sides in the camper just to spice things up a
little bit. Haha.

LOL, thanks church.

So I won't meet my new companion until Thursday. I'm hoping he's
either a Latino so I can speak Spanish all day, or a monster who
towers over me because that will be hilarious. But I guess we will
find out later, so💁🏼‍♂️

I don't have a lot of time to write today because of craziness and
such, but it was a good week.

- helped an old guy put new lawnmower blades on his riding lawnmower.
That was a treat. He had a whole pulley system worked out to lift up
the lawnmower because it was a big boy. Super ghetto, but that's the
fun part.

Where we fixed the mower

- helped a weirdo mow his lawn. He told us he'd make us BBQ later, but
when we returned he left a note on the door addressed to "the Mormon
dudes..." He ditched us that goon!

He didn't come back Sunday.

Yesterday was actually a crazy awesome day. There were 6 investigators
at church! And a couple less actives. Woo! We got a couple more new
investigators... And we went out with a member and had 5 member
present lessons. By the end of the day I had a headache and was beat
because of all that had happened... And we accidentally skipped dinner
because we were just on fire.

One amazing thing about this Gospel is the direction and purpose it
adds to life. Knowing that the atonement of Jesus Christ is a real
thing that really happened brings so much joy into life. I have seen
the word "atonement" associated with the word "joy" many times
throughout this week. It's because of the atonement that we can truly
feel joy. We can't do it out of our own will. The atonement heals,
relieves, and lifts off the burdens that hold us down. What an amazing
blessing it is and can be in our lives that, often times, seem unfair.

I love you all! I want nothing more than for all of you to be happy.😁
