Dia 490 UGH!

Hey fam!
So really the only reason I say "UGH" is because our mission is
becoming a Facebook mission. I'll be logging into my old account later
his week. Gross. It's gonna be a hassle hiding all of my old posts and
pictures. It's probably gonna take a month no joke before it's cleaned
up and ready to use for missionary work.... Plus just another thing to
exercise my self control with all y'all's posts and such.

But it's chill. The Lord intended me to use social media, so I guess I
will accept it. (If you message me, don't be offended if I don't
respond)💁🏼‍♂️

So yeah, we had Zone Conference this week. It was a good one. One
where I didn't go home feeling bad or anything, haha, but really I
just picked some things I want to improve at so it was good. A little
4 year old wrote me a letter at dinner that day too. It was adorable.

We went to mutual at the Spanish Branch to talk to the youth about why
we went on Missions and hen we had a Q&A. It was super fun. It was all
in Spanish too, so that's always a hoot. I got up there and talked for
like 20-25 minutes. The leaders were asking questions that were spot
on with my life, so that was weird..

We did some service for a part member family. It was pretty boring.
Lolz. I like, swept a room in the house they're building and that's
it. Then they gave us lunch... Which was just like 3 different kinds
of meat and some white bread, so Yanno, a man's lunch. Later today we
had a sweet followup lesson with a lady and her daughter. They asked
perfect questions. There was literally a video about repentance we
were trying to show to anyone earlier that day... Everyone in the
street just rejected us~ Then in the middle of this lesson, our
investigator asked, "what is repentance?" So we got to show the video!
We invited them to church and they were excited to go. Later, some
less active Dood gave us some fresh produce. Nice.

We had the opportunity to give several blessings this week so that was
really cool. It's amazing that the literal priesthood power has been
restored to the earth and we have the chance to use it and bless
others. It's something that I've always taken for granted.

Church, tbh was disappointing. Lol. The night before we literally set
up 2 solid rides. Called both sides and they both confirmed. Our rides
even contacted our investigators and everything seemed golden.... Then
no people came. Zilch. Well actually one, but we haven't really met
him officially... So hopefully that goes somewhere. Such is the
missionary life... This area is pretty tough! It seemed like a piece
of cake when I got here, but it might test my patience more than I
thought! That's okay though. I love the people here and things will
happen as they should. Our ward has a huge number of less actives and
so there is a lot of work there. Like almost all the work. But we
talked to 12 new people yesterday so that was fun.

Studying in the New Testament was fun this week. I found out in
Matthew 10:16 what kind of missionary I am supposed to be. "16 Behold,
I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise
as serpents, and harmless as doves."

A sheep-snake-bird.

But really, Matthew 10 is a great missionary chapter. It applies so
well to my life reaffirming that when someone rejects me to just keep
moving forward; when someone tries to tear me down, I won't let those
negative feelings disturb my peace; when I put God above everything,
he will take care of every aspect of my life. Just because he loves me
that much. It's neat.

I love y'all! I only hope the best for each of ya.
Have an above average week.
