Día 469 NEW STUFF

Hello fam!
This week was just super sad. At first. Haha, it was rough. My boy,
Elder Green went home. He wasn't even my companion. He didn't even
live with me. I only knew him a transfer, but he truly added, just as
a pecan adds. I also said bye to Elder Davis. And also Elder Toone. We
all parted ways. 😢

I'm gonna miss this district

I will just skip to Thursday
, because that was transfer day. I picked
up my new companion. So fresh. So green. I love it. Hahah, his name is
Elder Hulme! He's my boy! Haha he's super cool. He's from Draper...
And get this, he took one of my cousins to a dance. *cough* sup Hannah
*cough*😂 We really connected because he was in Student Government to
and he perked his hair too for the exact same reason as me. I was
pumped. What's gross is that I am so old compared to him. I'll be 21
and he'll be 18... Haha. He's got good humor and we get along.

Good bye
Hello

Also Thursday I got to see the rest of my pals! They are all
training! Along with my former trainee. I was so happy to see him.
What a guy.

So we go driving home to Taylor Texas... And it's Sooooo far away.. We
accidentally got lost and stuck on a toll road. It was such a hassle.
BUT we made it eventually. The first night was sweet. We met the whole
Elders Quorum presidency. Let me tell ya, I love this ward. They are
all so missionary minded. Also, so we are covering the Spanish Branch
and the English Ward... But mainly the English Ward. I'm sorta happy..
I missed white people dinners. And I mean that in the nicest way.
Haha. Mostly the humor though. I love the Mexican food.. Oh. And there
are Hippo statues everywhere in Hutto, TX. It's the best thing.

Fortunately for us, this last weekend we had 3 separate lessons in
Spanish. So cool. Apparently the Sisters hadn't had much success with
Spanish people. I am pumped. I love teaching in Spanish. I'mma help my
companion become fluent.

One night good things just kept happening. We had 5 solid lessons. Met
a guy named Graham. He said he was looking forward to us coming back.
Seemed genuine. I'll keep y'all updated. We also ran into a super nice
JW! As soon as I heard that I had the thought to just establish a
common ground, so Yanno I asked him how it felt to minister to people
like we do. He responded about the joy it brings. We then asked him
what he knew about our religion. He didn't know much, so I asked if we
could just explain to him a little bit so he knows. We then proceeded
to teach the whole restoration! Hahah I was so pumped. He kindly
rejected the Book of Mormon (expected), and referred us to their
website after we left him with our own invitations. We both came off
on a positive note and that guy now knows about Mormons, so we felt
successful. We were happy. Then we gave a Book of Mormon to a Jamaican
minister. It was quite the night.

Church was a little confusing... Because there was a mission farewell,
a baby blessing and a confirmation. Hah I did not know who was
actually in our ward. It was fun though. The Relief Society President
has straight up pink hair and she is like 6'3"... After church we went
out with a guy named Magno to some lessons. They all fell through, but
this guy is sweet. We talked to so many people because of him. We met
a kid named DJ who likes to dance. Magno looked up some music and this
kid danced for us in someone's front yard. We then gave him a copy of
the book of Mormon. Lolz. Missionary work is so cool.

Well this letter is getting long....
PS moving into a sister apartment was the best thing ever. They have
so much food. They left us some amazing chicken Alfredo bake. The only
ghetto thing is the tub because it is so clogged with hair. Gross. It
will not drain. They apologized for that in the notes...

Also! I got a ukulele. It's sweet. That will give a good FHE tool. I
love people.

Elder Torres is my hero

I love you all! Endure to the end. Stay cool. Keep me updated.
Oh.
And my new address is below... Just.. So that y'all know. 💁🏼‍♂️
