You got sun, eh?? It's been nothing but sun here...I’ve been wishing for rain to cool it down...and the full humidity hasn't even come yet...ha-ha. Monsoon season should be coming right here in the next month or so i think...
N. Korea is fine- i trust in the president and the church. If anything is a problem we'll be pulled out. I was on a split the other day with an Elder Bulloch from St. George, and the bomb siren tests went off. It’s something we don’t' even really think about until it happens. We decided we should write about it cause it's something that we don’t' really remember, but it happens a lot. haha. Random huh. It’s kind of an eerie sound though...
Sounds like the boys are just having a hoot with all their activities! haha- funny. Braden is all registered now then at Madison? it's easy to get sick of the "stupid south Fremont" people. haha. There’s so many people who just aren't going anywhere with life. They’ll forever stay in St. Anthony, like uncle Rico...reminiscing about their golden days....
This last Saturday our ward had a sports day to celebrate the completion of our new parking lot. They knocked down a house behind the church and extended the parking lot, added a basketball hoop and goals for volleyball and another Korean game called cho-koo. It was a blast! We played a bunch of games, and ate yummy food. This ward is so much fun!
Dad's headed up to Jackson huh? I miss the mountains and smelling pine and sage brush, when it rains here you just smell whatever is closest to you on the ground... food garbage, gas, old puke....ha-ha. It’s actually not too bad here in this town.
OH I GOT MY PACKAGE! It was wonderful! The shoes fit oh so nicely. It does feel weird to actually have a heel to walk on...haha...but I will get used to it. I can walk in the rain too! That’s good. haha. I ate a lot of the lemonheads...but I had to stop before I burnt my tongue. haha.
Mission adventures huh. i got some great news today. Elder Boyce called me and told me that me just got news that 5 of the people we were meeting in JeongEup got baptized this last Sunday!! i was so happy. it's great. that's my favorite place in the world.
We have some great investigators now. One is 권혁배- he is kind of crazy...got a few twitches but loves us to death...especially me for some reason. haha. He is really good at English and it adds to his freakiness cause it's really stuttery... but when he talks in Korean he's really normal. He has known the missionaries for a long time and wants to get baptized. He’s a chain smoker though. 40 cigarettes a day!! Sick...but we've got him down to ten now! So hopefully by the first week or so of next month he'll be able to quit.
Another girl is doing really well. 민한라 is her name and she is really good at English too. He has studied really hard! Her dream when she was young is to go to America and interview Leonardo DeCaprio. haha. She is really the best person I’ve ever seen at English, pretty much fluent without ever going to study abroad. She’ll be coming to the baptism this Sunday.
I can't believe transfers are next week. I hate transfers. I hate change. Especially when I love the area. dah! But, whatever, the lord knows where I need to go...even if I don’t' want to. There will be a lot of changes too cause so many people are going home. Oh! haha... and elder Boyce just got called as the new Jr AP! haha...I called it. He’s a way good missionary.
Well I gotta go. We want to go buy a tie for 이재융's baptism!
Much love- elder thork
