Today is my first Pday in my new area. i spent my morning as i usually do when moving to a new area...CLEANING! haha. i am such a clean freak, luckily this comp is kind of too. he has a dust allergy and said that he's been wanting to deep clean the house since he got there. so we did! spent a few hours actually. i can't believe how some people just let things go! if you just wipe things up in the first place it stays clean...hmm...anyway. our house is virtually spotless...the only thing i didn't tackle was the fridge. bleh.
so far my new companion is rad! we get along really well! he's got a more laid back style like me, is funny and can sing! we've already sang in church and have gone to a members and sang. sweet! it should be a good match. we'll get things going here before we know it.
oh yeah- Happy Halloween. it isn't a holliday in korea. when a korean thinks Halloween they think carved pumpkins, candy and america. haha. we were supposed to have a party but...swine flu has apparently struck my area, they cancelled it. so we went to the other elder's area in my district and we had a little party there. it was silly...but fun. i found a traditional korean outfit in the house (i just may bring home) and wore it. they loved it.
tell becky hi! that's fun you're in the same class. haha. i am really excited to get back to school and do some art!!!! haha...i got to make some fun stuff for the halloween party and it got those creative juices flowing and i didn't want to stop. then we went by the univesity here and went to the bathroom...just happened to be the arts building and there was a room full of pots drying on the wheels....i stopped and stared for a bit....haha
i haven't checked the mail yet. if they are not there yet they may be holding it to give me at zone conference next week. i think it's next week...??
i've still yet to meet all of our investigators! ah! it's so hard! we need to find new ones anyway. i did talk to a guy named Dan on the phone. i think he's from Virginia...he seems pretty cool, but we can't meet him for a while cause, yes, he caught the deadly swine flu. brother...we'll probably see him by this weekend.
i met a recent convert named Adrian! he is an 18 year old boy going to college here from Panama! haha...boy i wish i studied harder in spanish class. he's really good at english though. i feel bad for the kid...he'll be here for 5 years...and isn't exactly that excited about it. he wanted to go to the US in the airforce? but his mom told him to come here cause it was a better opportunity to learn both english and korean. haha...he didn't seem happy about the decision. anyway i like him.
hmm...i think we might go to this fortress today that is here. not sure. we'll see. or we might go play pool at our member's place. haha. who knows. it should be a good pday. maybe i'll sleep? haha. well i better get going. my comp looks bored.
