Things here in Germany has been going really well! I am loving it. The time is really going by so so fast! I just wrote like yesterday, right?? goodness.
Well, this last week we have been able to contact a lot of people, and have lessons with them. It has always kinda frustrated me to have to count everything in numbers... but now it's pretty awesome because I can see how the area is growing and how much progress we have made in the last few weeks! In our daily planners, the days went from being totally empty, with maybe an appointment here or there, to being considerably filled with appointments and we always have things to do and people to visit!
My German still sucks... hahaha. blahhhhh. My words get jumbled up all of the time and my questions never make as much sense as I want... There are always things to work on and always things to improve, so no suprise there. The study time that we usually have seems to be eaten up by early appointments, weekly meetings, and other things. There is just never enough time! bahhhh. Little German expressions always pop into my head now. Whether it's "tzak tzak tzak!" or "pi pa po" or "FLATCH" or "Alte Schweder!"... it's silly. and expect me to have weird things to say when I return in a little over a year!!
Halloween was kinda anti-climactic here in Germany... I don't know if I saw any real halloween decorations. There's a super cool family in our ward from Brazil, and they hadn't seen Halloween at all until they came here to Germany! Apparently it doesn't exist over there! strange, eh?
hmmm... little interesting stories? we met a guy this week named Ahmet (but he likes us to call him "Charlie"). He lives alone and spends his days watching tv and most likely talking to himself. He told us about how he used to be training to be a boxer, and he had big muscles (we only saw him in his current state... skinny bean-pole). He was the best in his class, but he didn't really want to box, he just wanted to be in shape. He said that everyone was jealous of his skills... and because of that... he was poisoned! He said the poison is still in him today, and because of that, he can't come to church. bahahahahaha. We asked him to explain to us a little of what he was taught by other missionaries and that was the answer that we recieved. extravagant enough, right?
I love being a missionary!
