August 15, 2013

Hello!
Well first things first, I'm healthy again!... well... mostly. I'm a lot better than I was last week. The only things left are a lingering cough, and a slightly runny nose. Other than that, it is going really well.
I got the package! Thank you so much! I really appreciate everything that you all put in there. The photos were great. I'm glad that you put them in there :) It was a little bit late... but it was great :) Thank you!
This week went by really fast. It feels like we didn't really do too much. We spent a few days just recovering and getting healthy. A few days inside can really make you crazy :P haha. We spent a lot of time studying, talking, and watching church videos.
After we were recovered to the point where we could go out and do things, we met with some members and investigators and that went well. We had a pioneer activity in Forst with a lot of the members from Cottbus. It went really well. They had a bunch of activities and excellent german food :) We were also able to show them a couple of games that we know from home like the finger-swords game, leg-wrestling, and a couple others. It went really well and we all had a lot of fun.
Anna is making a ton of progress. She continues to read in the Book of Mormon, and she has been to church every week since we met her. I think she's doing really well. We've asked, and she says she always feels good when she's at the church, or at church activities, or when she's with us in lessons. She just needs to recognize her answer, and she will be ready to be baptized :) It's so amazing. She is one of the few young people that don't smoke, and she doesn't even like black tea, and essentially every part of the gospel just makes sense to her. The Lord has definitely prepared her for the gospel.

Haha. It's so difficult to pick just one part of Germany that I like... but if there's one thing that I always like, it's the food. The German food is always awesome (At least the meals that members feed us). It always tastes awesome - without fail.

Thank you for everything! I'm so glad to have people at home that love me and support me :)
Love,
Elder Braden Thorkelson
